Bormes-les-Mimosas

Un magnifique village typiquement provençal. Perché sur sa colline, il domine la mer. Noyé dans les mimosas en Février, ses ruelles se parent de fleurs au printemps. Le littoral offre plages et sentier du littoral jusqu'au Fort de Brégançon.
Set clinging to a hillside, Bormes is a typically Provencal villages, packed with history. A maze of steep lanes with evocative names - Rompi-Cuou, Venelle des Amoureux, Plaine des Anes - pans out around the foot of the ruined castle... Visitors can enjoy discovering the remains of the old ramparts, poterns and covered passageways locally referred to as "cuberts". An official European "Village in Bloom", Bormes offers a pretty botanical footpath running through the lanes of the old quarter.

The village literally drowns in mimosa bloom in February and the most extraordinary varieties thrive here. Their beautiful bunches of yellow flowers exhale a sweet, heady perfume that pervades the local streets, squares and gardens.

In summer, visitors can head down to the adjacent coast to take advantage of the village's long, sandy beaches and numerous water sports opportunities.
