Blockhaus de la Foux
This R680-type bunker housed a 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun to defend the Foux neighborhood, a crossroads leading to Sainte-Maxime (north), Cogolin, then the Môle and the interior of the Moors (west), La Croix Valmer (south) and Saint-Tropez (east).
The building has an anti-gas discharge system present in front of the façade (concrete pit, detonationsgrube, allowing gas extraction during firing of the anti-tank piece so that chemicals do not enter the room, allowing the fire to continue with the servants, firing at 75 mm. The room has beautiful effects on the roof of camouflage made during the casemate formwork, including wooden boards inlaid in fresh concrete. Hooks are left on the roof to attach camouflage nets. The interior was damaged by an internal explosion. The ensemble is completed by a vat on the back of the blockhouse, and a slide or VF compartment now integrated into the fence wall of a neighboring property.
