VISIT TO A LLAMA BREEDING CENTER
The llama has contributed to the wealth of South America, and seduced North America. Today, they're conquering Europe. From the Andes to the Var, a journey of millions of years.
All year round (Monday to Sunday - by appointment only), the farm offers "Discovering and learning about llamas" tours. Visits are made with the breeder, who will take you through several workshops in contact with the llamas. The tour begins with an educational session, followed by a llama brushing workshop, then an introduction to trekking on a specially adapted trail, and to finish, a workshop for creating Made in Var llamas that you'll take home with you.
Open house (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. - July and August only - Friday, Saturday and Sunday without appointment)
Enter the intimacy of the herd, with births from April to September. The park is lined with panels to explain and tell you all about this little-known animal. These llamas, already revered by the Incas and bred for their wool, are sure to appeal to young and old alike. And you'll learn all about llama life, their history, ecology, scientific and sociological references, without forgetting to enjoy their tenderness through a petting session.
Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (non-stop) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in July and August.
Var Llamas is a wool farm. You'll find a souvenir store with hand-made creations and llama dung-based fertilizers for your plants.

Nouveauté 2024
For groups of 5 or more, we offer guided tours with the breeder, who will take you on a tour of the farm, covering a range of topics including history, anatomy, llama behavior and lifestyle, and then behind the scenes at Var Lamas, where the breeder will show you how he processes llama wool. A visit without a workshop, but a very instructive and enjoyable way to better understand how a llama farm works.
