Launched in 2001 by the Secretary of State for Tourism, the national label "Tourism and Handicap", brings you a reliable, consistent and objective information on the accessibility of sites and tourist facilities.
Taking into account four main types of disability (motor, visual, auditory and mental), it ensures accessibility and hospitality for genuine autonomy.
A site is labeled for one, two, three or four types of disability, after checking the accessibility of sites by assessors who have received specific training.
The label "Tourism and Handicap" is a response to the request of individuals with disabilities who want to choose their holidays and leisure freely.
